Wearing: Ashish X Topshop Studded Jumper, Wowch Leggings, Dr Martens Floral Boots, Vintage Frilly socks and various silver necklaces.
I've been very cautious when it comes to wearing my Dr Martens boots without adequate thick woolen socks to protect myself from blisters, hence my reluctance to wear such an outfit for university. The combination of a studded jumper and combat boots is enough to ward off any fellow commuter so this outfit would be reserved for only the worst of my bad moods. The frilly socks almost didn't make it into this outfit but I'm rather glad they did; it makes my odd feline friends look a little sweeter. I'm also sporting a new haircut with tidier ends, but it will take a few more days for it to properly settle in to a recognisable shape. It's the same dark, brooding brown colour as it has been for the past few years that doesn't really do much for such a dark and sombre outfit, but I have faith that a colourful vintage knit will contrast well with hair that's almost-inky-black.

Wearing: T-Bar Pink Shirt, Wowch Leggings, Jelly Beans Pink Sandal's, Vintage Frilly socks and cardigan.
At last I've been given a good chance to show off some of my latest acquisitions to my wardrobe: the cat leggings have been my companions all week and I absolutely adore the printed cat faces on the knees. Printed designs have the habit of flaking off, and on the inside of the leggings the Wowch symbol is already tearing apart at the seems, but since I bought the largest size possible I'm certain the knee motifs will stay in tact. I've had the shirt for a few years now but it seems like a match made in heaven for the two screen-printed images to be brought together. The Jelly Beans sandals haven't had a chance to be shown off properly to the world due to poor weather but I love their transparent and pink nature. I don't normally buy something so outlandish and bright, and the frilly socks haven't been properly worn since my youth and childhood but I enjoy this exploration of creativity through dress.

With the midst of Summer making its presence ever so clear when I'm slaving away umpiring a basketball game in a hot stadium, I can't help but think that I really need some new shirts to change out of when I finish my shifts. Preferably white since they will reflect the most light and therefore keep me the coolest. Loose large shirts are my preference and the bright and vibrant designs and colours designed by wacky brand Wowch on American Apparel quality shirts has got my hooked. They splice up elements from one design and impose it upon another, but it works so well.
My favourite shirt features a fluffy and happy looking dog, wearing a straw hat holding two kittens. It's because it's not as loud and garish as the other designs that I like it as well as the use of kittens incorporated into a design. I've also been looking at a few vintage cat and kitten designs on Etsy but maybe a nice clean looking shirt that will be free of mould would be a better and more wise move. Since the colour of this grey shirt isn't too dark I think that it would also fair well in Summer when worn with a pair of denim shorts; or a cute skirt if you're in the flirty mood.
The classic design of 'See no Evil, Hear no Evil and Speak no Evil', recreated with some cute little kittens overshadowing an ancient looking car. It's probably the wild and eclectic backdrops for each shirt that make them seem so interesting and quirky but I quite like this whole vibe. Makes it seem a little psychedelic as well as punk and nu wave.
A close second in terms of my favourite white shirts from Wowch is this very detailed depiction of the beach and shore with a lighthouse shining a cat's godlike image over the water. It scarily reminds me a lot of the German World War II campaign advertisements with figures looking and overseeing everything in the background but the vivid colours and vibrant sea background are also cheery and remind me a lot of carefree nostalgia of schoolies and exam celebrations. I love the cheery matching of the sky background and the clouds on the design of the shirt.
I might like this creepy cat shirt were it not for the sad looking pugs on each of its paws, thus giving the shirt it's name "master of puppets". I personally draw the line at having a cat with a scary look on its face with yellow eyes and teeth bared but for it to have miserable looking dog heads replacing its paws is just a little much. I'm not a great fan of this eclectic and new-age design and I do believe there is a thin-line between a great design and something that will cause every child on the street to have nightmares.
I know the perfect kimono to wear with this shirt, were it still available. it was decked out in crystal ball motifs with oriental style and the bulbous head of the bald alien controlled by a happy little cat with paws raised reminds me a lot of mystical fortune tellers with odd quirks and sketchy qualifications.Wowch Cat Totes and Shirt Dresses

Continuing my psychedelic spree and coverage of clothing and accessories too from Wowch is a few cat clad pieces of clothing. I'll finally be free of hulking bags of school books this year but then there's also the security issue of being without a locker and typing up my notes during lectures. The problem is that I type fast, only on a single computer which is not a laptop but I can at least carry my text books with style using calico bags featuring rad prints of cats from building to building.
Out of the two tote bags that are currently being sold on the Wowch website and online store I prefer this cat print bag- although I don't see the point in cutting off one cats head and plonking it on to a mismatching body. I still like the print and basic design as well as the basic poise of the cat shown here. They only cost $12 a pop though so if you're going to get one, why not get both?
It's a shame that these are the only shirt dresses manufactured or reproduced / decorated) by Wow clothing since they've both already sold out! I wouldn't mind wearing a pair of leggings underneath these baggy and comfortable beauties but I suppose there's also vintage clothing which has cute cat faces in full on their shirts too. I really hope they make more shirt dresses in the future, I certainly would jump on the opportunity to own one with a unicorn or a wold howling in front of a full moon. Team them up with leggings adorned with cat faces on the knees and you got yourself a killed combination!Wowch Leggings

I first saw these leggings goodness knows how long ago and I really wanted to get a pair for myself, and it seems after I work industriously this weekend I'll be able to afford a pair; although at the moment my mother is egging me on to get myself alaptop to write notes for university with. I don't know how well that will go really since these beauties are on sale and their can't be too many left in their numbers! I know the perfect shoes to wear them with and I'm super psyched to know the identity of these leggings featuring cats on the knees is produced by Wowch!
Being an atypical hipster I would prioritise the cat leggings over the wolves but both are equally fierce; I just happen to favour the single shade colour of the cats rather than the wolves subtle shades of grey as well as yellow eyes. While they have been layered as a staple piece for laying, I know that I would love to wear these with vintage capes as well as parkas and toggle coats when the weather turns cold. Each of the designs for Wowch are printed on American Apparel clothing so you can be assured of their quality, and as mentioned before artists Ann Muddy featured the cat leggings in one of her drawings.
Really love the vibrant backgrounds behind the leggings there, it's sort of mind-bendingly distracting but at the same time very fitting and kinda soothing to see the two wild designs paired up together. Sort of like the perfect marriage and the relief you feel when your best friend finds a nice guy to date.
